No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away.” - Steve Jobs

Dear Steve Jobs, I would like to politely disagree with you. I do not merely “want” to go to heaven. I crave it. I ache for it. I may not crave death, but oh I will welcome it.

“That what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.” (-2 Corinthians 5:1-5)

“You have tasted of death now,” said the Old Man. “Is it good?”
“It is good, said Mossy. “It is better than life.”
“No,” said the Old Man. “It is only more life.” - George MacDonald

Our understanding of death says so so much about our understanding of life.
